The beautiful city of Calabar will be the host of SofaDonDo 5th National Conference, themed

Institutionalizing polices against the menace of transactional sex in our citadel of learning.
Like every other past successful SofaDonDo conferences this one is promising to be another enlightening and entertaining event.

SofaDonDo EBONYI visit WHO Ebonyi state zonal office

On the 5th of October 2022, SofaDonDo Ebonyi State chapter visited the World Health Organization Ebonyi Zonal Coordinator Dr. Mrs Vivian.

The purpose of this Visit is to create and harness a mutual relationship between the two organizations.

In attendance was the W.H.O Ebonyi zonal coordinator Dr Vivian, LEAD, GBV TEAM IN W.H.O Dr Joseph, SOFANDONDO Ebonyi chapter coordinator Mr Izuchukwu Ezeokoli and SOFANDONDO Ebonyi chapter PRO Miss Chukwugozie Rebecca.

International Day of the Girl Child 2022


Sofadondo is celebrating this year's International Day of the Girl child with an essay competition on the topic
" Tackling Sexual harrasement in a Digital Generation" in line with this year's theme of Digital Generation; Our Generation. The essay competition is open to all secondary school students and has cash prizes attached. Entries will end on 8th October and the results announced on 11th October. All entries are to be sent to help@sofadondo.org

Sofadondo Ebonyi School Outreach

On Tuesday 14th June 2022, SDD volunteers in Ebonyi State Chapter visited Life Heritage School,Ikwo LGA,Ebonyi State.
The project was geared towards sensitizing the teens, about the ills in society, especially as it concerns them.

The students were enthusiastic about the cause, asked questions and made comments where necessary.

Government Technical Secondary School, Mayne Avenue

Cross River State held a school sensitization for the classes of SS2 and SS3 respectively. The speakers, Divine Ega, Delight Ebunta, and Daniel Enem introduced SOFADONDO and spoke to the students about the vision, objectives, and drive of the organization. Another topic that was discussed was: sexual harassment.

Sensitization Of Students Of Ignatius Ajuru University

Just before the ASUU strike, we went on to, spread our message to young people on campus.

As an organisation with the primary goal of advocating against sexual harassment in schools, it became imperative that we take the all-important message of SDD to the Faculty of Humanities, Ignatius Ajuru University, Rivers State.

The university staff adviser Dr Edith and the management were very receptive.

Cross River State Sexual Reproductive Health And Rights (SRHR) Policy

On Tuesday 28th, December 2021, the Cross River State Government launched the first youth-focused Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Policy in Nigeria and we are delighted to have had one of our Volunteers, Blessed Orji selected to be part of the process.

The essence of this policy is to ensure that adolescents and young people have access to friendly family planning services across the state.

SofaDonDo Cross River State Chapter 2021 End Of Year Picnic

What other best way is there to round off the year on a cheery note, if not to dine and merry together as a family? This was how the Cross River State chapter of SOFADONDO chose to celebrate theirs and was marked memorably.

The event was held on the 26th of December 2021, at the Millennium Park, Eleven-eleven, Calabar, It was packed full with lots of exciting bundles and activities which did not exclude board games, football games, stories of volunteering experiences, and of course, plenty to eat and drink.
